Pre-build kit or turn-key car

The Spyder 550 is available as a pre-build kit or as a turnkey car. The pre-build kit is delivered as a rolling chassis, completely build, painted and fitted with interior. You only have to add the engine to make it a turn-key car.

Road registration

Although we are in a 'European Union', every European country has its own rules for allowing cars like the Spyder 550 to be put on the road with valid registration documents. This means that each Chamonix Spyder turn-key car is specially prepared for a particular country so prices between different 'versions' may vary. This also means that buying a new or used Spyder overseas will confront you with expensive alterations to get your Spyder road legal, if possible at all ! Buying a Spyder 550 through an official European agent will prevent you from making this type of expensive failures.

We can currently deliver the Chamonix Spyder to the following countries:
Netherlands, current RDW approval and registration
UK, age related or current DVLA registration
Germany, historic or current TUV registration
Belgium, current registration
Portugal, current registration
Spain, current registration
Italy, current registration

For current registrations, only cars equiped with a multipoint fuel injected engine with catalytic converter are approved. These engines are modified by us so their emissions are < 0,5% vol CO at idle and 2500rpm and will comply with yearly Dutch APK, UK MOT or German TUV tests.
